Paddling Trek down Colorado River

Experience brief

A few of us are interested in kayaking/canoeing/boating for a significant distance down the Colorado River towards Moab, UT. Possibly going to be the trip to remember for the rest of our lives!

Expecting hardship involving transportation, supplies, permits/restrictions, etc. Yet no sweat, as all of these will be dealt with in due time as the issues arise.

Not really sure what this will entail, but this experience will be updated with new information as it comes.

Paddling down rivers might be the perfect candidate for my recent interest in quantifying experience. My girlfriend is hesitant about me going on such an expedition, but I imagine would be relieved by being able to know my location and status at nearly any time. I imagine this could be accomplished by utilizing or creating a piece of technology which is constantly monitoring and publishing my whereabouts and status on Acressity automatically.

Warmth Approaching

Well well! Colorado is starting to feel a bit spring-like recently. Knowing that March and April still oftentimes experience heavy snow, I'm a bit hesitant to start becoming excited about the approaching warmth and beauty I remember from last summer....

I have been attracted by such a trip for a long time now, and not until today did a few friends and I begin discussing the reality of following through on such a trip. After much initial excitement, the logistics involved and issues capable of being ...
